WHAT ARE NOOR'S OPENING HOURS?

Noor is open from Wednesday to Saturday evening for dinner starting at 6:30 PM, and on Friday and Saturday afternoon for lunch starting at 12:00 PM. Click here for all contact information.

WHAT KIND OF FOOD AND DRINK DOES NOOR SERVE?

Menu Noor is a culinary journey that invites you to let go and surrender to pure flavor and experience. Jeroen and Marleen cook from the heart, using products and techniques they personally value and love. No complicated flavors or techniques, but the main product in its purest form. They always strive for the highest possible quality, without concessions or shortcuts.

Refined sauces form the foundation, complemented by fish, shellfish from Dutch waters, (game) meat, as many locally sourced vegetables as possible, and cheeses exclusively aged in the Netherlands. When the very best can only be found beyond the borders, they cross them without hesitation. Their cooking style is rooted in French tradition, enriched with global influences and a clear passion for Japanese flavors. Bright acidity, bold taste, and elegant richness – that is what Menu Noor is all about.

It is an experience you must live: set aside everything you thought you didn’t like, take your seat, let them cook, and simply enjoy.

DOES NOOR HAVE A DRESS CODE?

At Noor we do not have a strict dress code. However, we kindly ask our guests not to wear sportswear, such as track pants, caps, or hoodies. We encourage everyone to express their own style, while also noting that most of our guests choose appropriate attire, which we equally appreciate.

CAN I SMOKE IN THE RESTAURANT?

Smoking is not allowed in and around the restaurant. We strongly advise against it, as it may not only disrupt your own experience but also that of other guests. If you still wish to smoke, we kindly ask you to do so outside the restaurant premises.

DOES NOOR HAVE A TERRACE OR LOUNGE WHERE I CAN HAVE A DRINK?

No, at Noor we have consciously chosen not to have a terrace. Due to the unique and intimate setting in the old church, there is also no space available for a lounge. Therefore, it is not possible to arrive earlier than your reservation time for a drink beforehand. We kindly ask you to respect your arrival time.

RESERVATIONS AND CANCELLATIONS

I WOULD LIKE TO RESERVE A TABLE, HOW DOES THAT WORK?

A table can only be reserved online via the “Reserve” button at the bottom right of your screen. Enter the number of guests, select the desired date and time, and then click “Show available options” to view that day’s possibilities. Choose your preferred option, read the additional information if desired, and complete your reservation. After paying the full deposit, you will receive a confirmation.

HOW DOES THE WAITING LIST WORK?

If it is not possible to reserve on your desired date, you can join our waiting list. As soon as a table becomes available, all participants will receive a notification by email at the same time. You will only receive this email if a table opens up on the date for which you registered on the waiting list. Cancellations occur regularly, but we cannot provide any guarantees. Everyone on the list has an equal chance, so responding quickly increases your possibility of securing a reservation.

CAN I CHANGE THE NUMBER OF GUESTS IN MY RESERVATION?

If you would like to change the number of guests in your reservation, this is only possible if a table is available for the desired party size. For example, if you reserved for four people, it is not automatically possible to come with two. In that case, a table for two must be available.

You can modify your reservation through the link in your confirmation email. If you are unable to do this online at the time of your request, it means that there is no option to change the reservation at that moment. In that case, please contact us.

CAN I MAKE A GROUP RESERVATION?

That is certainly possible. Through our website, you can reserve a table for up to 12 guests. For parties of 13 or more, availability is upon request. Click here to submit your group request.

The Chef’s Table, a separate space in the kitchen, can be booked online for up to 4 guests. For groups of up to 8 people, you can send a request to hello@noor.nl. More information about the Chef’s Table can be found here.

CAN WE COMBINE TABLES IF WE MAKE SEPARATE RESERVATIONS?

WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON'T SHOW UP FOR MY RESERVATION, OR IF I WANT TO CANCEL IT?

If you do not show up for your reservation without notice, this will be considered a “no-show” and your deposit will be retained to cover the costs incurred. Up to 48 hours prior to your reservation, you may modify or cancel free of charge, unless stated otherwise. All reservations are subject to our general (cancellation) terms and conditions. CAN WE COMBINE TABLES IF WE MAKE SEPARATE RESERVATIONS?

We understand your request, but unfortunately it is not possible to combine two separate reservations, unless a table is available for the total number of guests. In that case, we require confirmation of approval from both parties.

IS THE RESERVATION PERSONAL AND NON-TRANSFERABLE?

No, when you make a reservation, you will receive a code that must match the code registered with us. If you are unable to attend yourself, you may transfer the reservation to someone else. Please contact us at hello@noor.nl to discuss your request.

SPECIAL REQUESTS AND DIETARY REQUIREMENTS

CAN I BE ACCOMMODATED AT NOOR WITH MY ALLERGY OR DIETARY REQUIREMENT?

Noor can accommodate allergies and dietary requirements to a certain extent. Due to the increasing diversity of these requests, combined with our generous cooking style, limited kitchen space, and small team, it is unfortunately not possible to accommodate everything. CAN YOU DO SOMETHING SPECIAL FOR A CELEBRATION I AM HAVING AT NOOR?

Noor is the perfect place to celebrate your achievements, birthday, anniversary, or milestone. We have created a special celebratory cake to make the occasion even more memorable. Below you will find an example of what we have served before.

The cake costs €18 each. You can order it up to 24 hours before your reservation via hello@noor.nl.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION FOR YOUR VISIT

ARE PETS ALLOWED?

We love animals, but we do not consider the restaurant a suitable place for them. We therefore kindly ask you to leave your pets at home. Assistance dogs are of course an exception. They are most welcome, provided this is indicated to us in advance. This way we can ensure that everything during your visit runs as smoothly and comfortably as possible, both for you and for our other guests.

ARE CHILDREN ALLOWED?

Noor is a restaurant designed for adults and not set up for children. We therefore advise only bringing children under the age of 12 if they will enjoy the full menu and respect the tranquility of other guests. If you would still like to bring your child, please let us know in advance. Kindly note that we do not have high chairs or special children’s menus. If your child does not wish or is unable to eat the full menu, we can provide an alternative dish tailored to their preferences. In that case, a minimum cover charge of €98 applies.

WHERE CAN I PARK?

Parking at Noor is free. You can park your car along the street in front of the restaurant or use the parking lots of Lidl or Albert Heijn. From there, it is about a 50 to 150 meter walk to Noor.

Are you coming by bike? Unfortunately, there is no possibility to park bicycles on our premises. However, you will find several public bicycle racks around Noor where you can safely leave your bike.

HOW CAN I REACH NOOR?

HOW CAN I REACH NOOR BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT?

Take the train to Groningen Central Station and transfer there to bus line 8 towards Hoogkerk. This bus departs from the main station and takes on average 12 to 18 minutes. Get off at the stop Hoogkerk, Fabriekslaan. Noor is located directly across the street at Zuiderweg 38. You only need to cross the road, which is just a few meters to walk.

If you are traveling via Groningen North station, first take the train or a city bus to Groningen Central Station and then transfer to bus line 8 towards Hoogkerk. The total travel time is similar.

IS NOOR ACCESSIBLE FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES AND WHEELCHAIR USERS?

We are happy to welcome everyone to our restaurant, including guests with disabilities. However, since Noor is located in a beautiful old church, this unfortunately comes with some spatial limitations. The pathways are narrow, the turning space is limited, and the restaurant is situated two steps above the entrance. In addition, due to the monumental character of the building, it is not possible to provide a separate wheelchair-accessible restroom.

We recommend contacting us before making your reservation, so that we can look at the possibilities together and provide you with the most pleasant experience possible.

WHAT ARE THE PAYMENT OPTIONS?

The following credit cards are accepted: Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.

In addition, at Noor you can pay with Maestro (debit card), cash, or with a voucher or gift card issued by Noor itself. Please note, discount vouchers, gift cards, or vouchers not issued by Noor are not accepted.

Payment by invoice after your visit is only possible if clear arrangements have been made with us in advance.

CAN I PAY WITH A GIFT CARD OR DINER VOUCHER?

At Noor we only accept gift cards issued by ourselves. It is therefore not possible to pay with a VVV gift card, RestaurantCadeau card, Diner Cadeau, Primera Dinerbon, or similar cards.

CAN I BRING MY OWN WINE?

You are very welcome to bring your own wine, provided this has been arranged with us in advance and the wine is not listed on our own wine menu. You may bring a maximum of two bottles of 750 ml each. For this, we charge a corkage fee of €75 per bottle.
