ANSWERS TO FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Opening hours and general information
When is Noor open?
Noor is open Wednesday through Saturday evenings for dinner starting at 6:30 p.m. and on Saturday afternoons for lunch starting at noon.
Click here for all contact information.
What kind of food and drinks does Noor serve?
Noor offers, in addition to an à la carte menu, a gastronomic ‘Menu Noor’. This menu primarily features wild fish, shellfish, and crustaceans from the North Sea and Dutch waters, game from the local area, and fruit and vegetables from our own garden or sourced as locally as possible (mainly from the Netherlands). Additionally, we use cream, farmhouse butter, crème fraîche, and exclusively Dutch cheeses.
Our distinctive flavor profile is characterized by full, bold, and rich flavors, balanced with citrus and fresh acidity.
If you do not eat fish and/or meat, we are happy to adjust the menu with vegetarian dishes. However, a fully meat-based menu does not align with our philosophy.
IS THE WINE PAIRING THE ONLY OPTION?
No, we also have a wine list with many options. You can choose a wine that appeals to you the most. In addition, we offer non-alcoholic beverages as well.
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE WINE PAIRING?
The wine pairing is specially curated by our sommelier to perfectly complement the menu after the snacks. This means that the drinks served with the aperitif snacks are not included in the price.
Does Noor maintain a dress code?
We do not have a strict dress code at Noor, however, we do not appreciate our guests wearing sportswear such as sweatpants, caps and hoodies. We encourage our guests to express their own unique style, but we note that the majority of our guests prefer appropriate attire, which we also appreciate.
Can I smoke in the restaurant?
Smoking is not allowed in and around the restaurant. We strongly advise against smoking, as it can not only spoil your experience, but also that of other guests in the restaurant. If you do wish to smoke, we kindly ask that you do so outside the confines of the restaurant.
Do you have a terrace?
No, we do not have a terrace at Noor.
Reservations and cancellations
I want to reserve a table, how does that work?
You can reserve a table by clicking the “Reserve” button in the bottom right corner of your screen. Next, enter the number of guests and select the desired date and time of your visit. Then click “Show available options” to view the available options for that day.
How does the waiting list work?
If it is not possible to make a reservation on your desired date, we encourage you to take a seat on our waiting list. As soon as a table becomes available, all participants on the waiting list will receive simultaneous email notification. You will receive this email only if a table becomes available on a date for which you are on the waiting list. Cancellations occur regularly, however, we cannot offer any guarantees. All participants have equal opportunity; responding quickly will help you secure a reservation.
Can I change the number of people in my reservation?
If you wish to change the number of people in your reservation, this is only possible if a table is available for the desired number of people. For example, if you have reserved for four people, it is not automatically possible for two people to come as well. In this case, a table should be available for two people.
You can change your table via your confirmation email. If this is not possible online at the time of your request, there is no way to change your reservation at that time. In that case, please contact us.
Can I make reservations with a (large) group?
You certainly can. You can reserve a table for the restaurant for up to 5 people via the website. For parties of 6 or more, we offer availability in the restaurant upon request. Click here to submit your group request.
The Chef’s Table is bookable for up to 8 people. This involves a separate room in the kitchen. All information about the Chef’s Table can be found here.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON'T SHOW UP FOR MY RESERVATION, OR IF I WANT TO CANCEL IT?
General (cancellation) conditions apply to all reservations, click here for more information.
CAN WE COMBINE TABLES IF WE MAKE SEPARATE RESERVATIONS?
Unfortunately, that’s not possible. Due to the specific nature of our tables, we’re unable to combine them.
IS THE RESERVATION PERSONAL AND NON-TRANSFERABLE?
No, when you make a reservation, you’ll receive a code that must match the one registered with us. If you’re unable to come yourself, you’re welcome to transfer the reservation to someone else. Alternatively, you can also purchase a gift card for family or friends.
IS IT IMPORTANT TO BE ON TIME?
Punctuality is essential. The reserved times ensure a smooth flow in both the kitchen and the service, allowing us to provide you with the best possible experience.
Special requests and dietary requirements
I have an allergy or dietary requirement, can I come for dinner?
Due to the increasing variety of dietary preferences and allergies, we are unfortunately no longer able to accommodate all of them. Therefore, we have decided that we can no longer cater to every dietary request and allergy. Please read more here to see what is and isn’t possible.
Can you do something special for a birthday/anniversary?
Noor has developed a special congratulatory cake that is spectacularly presented.
The cake costs €18 and you can order it up to 24 hours prior to your reservation by emailing hello@noor.nl.
Accessibility and facilities
ARE PETS ALLOWED?
We love animals, but we don’t believe the restaurant is the right place for them. We kindly ask that you leave your pet at home.
ARE CHILDREN ALLOWED?
The restaurant experience is not intended for children under the age of 10, and we recommend not bringing them. However, if you do wish to dine with your child, please note that we unfortunately do not have high chairs or special children’s menus. We can, however, offer an alternative dish tailored to the child’s preferences (with a minimum price of €98).
Is Noor accessible to people with disabilities and wheelchair users?
We are delighted to welcome everyone to our restaurant, including guests with disabilities. However, Restaurant Noor is located in a beautiful old church, which comes with certain spatial limitations. The walkways are narrow, and the turning radius is limited. Additionally, the restaurant is situated two steps above the entrance, and due to the historic nature of the building, it is not possible to install a separate wheelchair-accessible restroom.
We recommend contacting us prior to your reservation so we can discuss the available options together.
What are the payment options?
The following credit cards are accepted: Visa, MasterCard and American Express.
In addition to these options, payment is possible via Maestro (pin), cash, or via a voucher/gift card issued by Noor. Please note that discount coupons, gift certificates or vouchers not issued by Noor will not be accepted.
It is only possible to pay in arrears via invoice if clear arrangements have been made in advance.
Can I bring my own wine?
You are welcome to bring your own wine, provided it is coordinated with us in advance. You may bring a maximum of two bottles of 750 ml each, with a corkage fee of €75 per bottle and a sip for the sommelier.
